We acknowledge the Jagera and Turrbal Peoples as the Traditional Owners of the lands and waters of Meanjin/Brisbane Queensland, where the Association was first formed. We also acknowledge and pay our respects to Traditional Owners throughout Australia, particularly their Elders, past and present.

We also recognise the unique role of Māori as Tangata Whenua of Aotearoa New Zealand and acknowledge Te Tiriti o Waitangi which recognises Māori as tino rangitiratanga of Aotearoa/New Zealand.
